Nail Trimming
When clipping the nails on a dog or cat with white toenails you can
see the pink “quick”. This is where the blood vessels are found. If the
nails are accidentally trimmed too short, the quick will bleed. This is
nothing to be alarmed about. The bleeding can be stopped by packing the
end of the toenail with flour, cornstarch or powder. It will take a minute
or two for the bleeding to stop.
