Kim Newman has been our kennel manager and resident “Dog Whisperer” for the last six years. Kim is a graduate of Purdue University with B.A. in Agriculture and English and a minor in Animal Science. Kim and her husband Charles have two German Shepherd’s named Kiyuaga and Wahaya and two cats named Maggie and Hazel. Kim enjoys interacting with the animals that are “vacationing” in our kennel, especially all of her “regulars”. Kim has a magical way of making any nervous dog feel calm and secure when they are here at the clinic for surgery, boarding or even just an appointment. Kim’s hobbies include watching movies, camping, playing games and spending time with friends.
Diana Wenger has been a kennel assistant for over seven years. She is currently a student at IUSB minoring in History and East Asian Culture and Languages. She will graduate in the spring on 2012. Diana is engaged to Joseph and they plan to marry on June 23, 2012. They have four cats that Diana lovingly refers to as “The Four Horsemen”. Their names are Pickles, Mogget, Elmo and Charlemegne. Diana’s favorite parts of her job include playing with all of the cute kittens we see and getting to know the animals over the years and watching them grow up!
Tiffany Lantzer has been a kennel assistant for six years at AACS. She and her husband, A.J., have a Chocolate Lab named Grizzly, Lab cross named Ginger and a black cat named Chuck. She is currently in school for human surgery technology. Tiffany enjoys comforting the scared dogs and earning the trust of the dogs and cats in the kennel. She also jumps at the chance to watch surgery whenever she can. Her hobbies include watching football (Big fans of the Bears and Steelers) and the Cleveland Indians play baseball. She also enjoys home improvement and making her older home new again.
Cynthia Sandoval has been a kennel assistant at AACS for five years. Lady, an eight year old Cocker Spaniel and Tinka, a bunny, keep her company at home. Cynthia’s favorite thing about her job is seeing the animals that were puppies five years ago when she started grow up and spending time with them while they are boarding. She is also fluent in Spanish which makes her our resident translator. Her hobbies include baking and playing checkers.
Vanessa Huddleston is the newest addition to our kennel staff. She started in June of 2011 and has been a great addition to our staff. She has a Heinz 57 named Mia who is the first pet she has adopted “as an adult!”. She also has a cat named Buttercup that was adopted from AACS. Vanessa’s favorite thing about the job is learning and getting hands on experience. She is currently a student at Brown Mackie College in the Veterinary Technician Program. Her hobbies include decorating cakes, baking and spending time with her animals.
Missy Mohr has been a receptionist here for eight years. Missy has lots of four legged children at home in the form of cats! They range in age from Addie, who is one year old to Pluto who is 16 years old and several in between. Her hobbies are reading, taking care of her niece and nephew (Halle and Carter) and rescuing cats and kittens. Missy’s favorite part of her job is getting to know the clients and their pets and helping people care for their pets.
Angie Pestow has spent the last five years as a receptionist at AACS. She and her husband, Brian, have been married for nine years. They have three miniature dachshunds. Petey and Lacy are nine years old and Rennie is one year old. Angie enjoys helping clients and their pets and sharing dachshund stories with many of our clients. Her hobbies are traveling, baking and decorating cakes.
Britt Newman started as a receptionist 22 years ago and has been our front office manager for the last 15 years. Many of you know her by her bright smiling face and big blond hair! She and her husband, Kelly, have a daughter Ashley who is 17. They also have a Sheltie named Lollipop and a cat named Greygrey that adopted them according to Britt. Britt’s hobbies are reading and working in her yard. Her favorite part of her job is the interaction with our wonderful clients!
Joy Sigman has been a receptionist at AACS for 17 years. She and her husband, Rick, have been married for 39 years and have two sons and three grandchildren with a fourth on the way. Joy and Rick have three feline friends at home with them. Beamer is five years old, CK (Christmas Kitty) is three years old and the newest addition, Gypsy, is two years old. Joy enjoys camping and hiking and nature. She also likes to cross country ski in the winter and spend time with friends and family. Her favorite part of her job is watching the interactions between clients and their beloved pets and knowing she had a small part in keeping their pet healthy.
Tara Byers has been on the AACS receptionist team for 15 years. Tara enjoys working one on one with clients the most. She has made lots of good friendships with our clients and is always happy when they walk through our door. She and her husband Craig have an eight year old daughter, Emma. They also have two wild dachshunds. Beamer is five years old and Nubie is one year old. In her spare time, Tara enjoys working in her vegetable garden and spending time with friends.
