Cat and Dog Food Recall Information

Menu Foods is recalling many brands of dog and cat food sold under many different brand names.  The food was distributed throughout the United states, Canada and Mexico by major retailers.   An unknown number of cats and dogs have suffered kidney failure and or death after eating the affected food.  The website below lists all the brands affected:

Animal Aid Clinic South is very concerned about the food recall and advises all our clients to call our office for an exam if any of your pets have eaten these foods whether they show symptoms or not.  Not all animals will show signs of symptoms immediately.  This does not eliminate the need to contact us.  If you feel your pet might have been exposed to these food products, call us immediately at 574-875-5102. 

Symptoms of kidney failure are:

    lethargy/sluggishness

    vomiting

    diarrhea

    increased thirst/ more frequent drinking than normal

    loss of appetite

    Increased Urination
